A category archive is a page. It has an address, it sits in your sitemap,
and on a shop it is usually the page that ranks for the word a customer
actually types — "filterkaffe" rather than the name of one coffee.Until now there was no way to give one a title or a description. This
release adds the fields to the category edit screen, lets the AI draft
them, and teaches the audit to look.The audit also reports two things you cannot see by scrolling: categories
that are empty and still offered to search engines, and pairs of categories
holding almost the same products. The second matters because each one looks
perfectly reasonable on its own — the problem exists only between them, and
two archives competing for the same search means neither does as well as
one would.The review queue now takes pages and categories in turn rather than pages
first, so a shop with four hundred products still reaches its categories.Also in this release: credential fields now refuse to be filled by password
managers. 1Password was filling the Bing and Google fields by itself, which
puts a password where a key belongs.
